Denmark Removals Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps taken by Denmark Removals to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We recognise that modern slavery is a serious crime and a fundamental violation of human rights. Denmark Removals is committed to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency in all business dealings.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Denmark Removals has a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, child labour, and human trafficking. This applies to every aspect of our business, including our employees, contractors, agency workers, and all suppliers and subcontractors involved in our removals, storage, and related services.
We expect everyone working with or on behalf of Denmark Removals to share this commitment. Any breach or suspected breach of our zero-tolerance policy is treated as a serious matter and may result in termination of contracts, removal from approved supplier lists, disciplinary action, and referral to relevant authorities where appropriate.
Our Operations and Supply Chain
Denmark Removals provides domestic and commercial removals, storage, and associated logistics services. Our supply chain includes providers of vehicles, fuel, packaging materials, storage facilities, equipment, maintenance, cleaning, and labour agencies, as well as administrative and professional services.
We acknowledge that the logistics and removals sector can be exposed to risks of labour exploitation, particularly where temporary and subcontracted labour is involved. We are committed to understanding these risks and taking proactive steps to mitigate them.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We are implementing robust due diligence procedures to assess and manage the risk of modern slavery within our supply chain. All new suppliers are expected to confirm that they comply with applicable labour, employment, and human rights legislation and that they do not tolerate forced or exploitative labour in their operations or own supply chains.
Denmark Removals is developing a structured supplier review and audit programme. This includes risk-based assessments of suppliers, focusing particularly on higher-risk categories such as labour provision, cleaning, and subcontracted transport. Where appropriate, we may request evidence of policies, training records, right-to-work checks, and transparency in recruitment practices.
Where concerns are identified, we work collaboratively with suppliers to improve standards. If sufficient progress is not made, or where serious breaches are confirmed, we will consider suspending or ending the relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers to report any concerns related to modern slavery or human trafficking, whether in our own operations or anywhere in our supply chain. Concerns may include signs of coercion, withheld wages, unsafe or degrading working conditions, or restrictions on freedom of movement.
Reports can be made through internal reporting routes, including line managers and senior management. We are committed to ensuring that individuals who raise concerns in good faith do so without fear of retaliation or detrimental treatment. All reports will be treated seriously, investigated promptly, and, where necessary, escalated to appropriate external authorities.
Training, Awareness, and Responsibility
Responsibility for our modern slavery commitments rests with the senior management of Denmark Removals, who oversee policy implementation and compliance. Managers in relevant areas, particularly operations, procurement, and human resources, are responsible for ensuring that these commitments are embedded into day-to-day practices.
We are working to increase awareness of modern slavery risks among staff through guidance and targeted training, so that potential indicators of exploitation can be recognised and addressed quickly. Employees are reminded of their responsibility to act with integrity and to report any concerns without delay.
Monitoring and Annual Review
Denmark Removals is committed to continuous improvement in tackling modern slavery risks. We will review this Statement at least once every year to assess the effectiveness of our measures and to identify further improvements. As part of the annual review, we will consider feedback from audits, incident reports, supplier engagement, and changes in legislation or best practice.
This Statement represents Denmark Removals’ current position and planned actions to combat modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. It has been approved by the senior management of Denmark Removals and will be updated annually to reflect our ongoing progress and commitment.
